• Regional Pre-Retirement Conferences.
  These are free one- or two-day events designed to help employees better understand their TMRS benefits and make plans for their retirement. The programs combine TMRS speakers with experts in Social Security benefits and financial planning. They are especially useful for members eligible for or considering retirement. TMRS provides lunch.
  
  
• City Correspondent Certification Courses.
  These two-day courses give City Correspondents the knowledge and tools they need to function in partnership with TMRS. Example Agenda (pdf)
  
  
• TMRS Annual Training Seminar
  Annual Seminars allow city administrators and decision-makers to network with TMRS staff and peers and keep abreast of TMRS changes and policies. The 2008 Annual Training Seminar will be September 2 - 4, in Corpus Christi.
  
  
• Regional Funding Workshops
  We are offering as many Funding Workshops as possible in 2008. Funding workshops are designed for city personnel, to keep them informed of TMRS changes and plan funding options. The calendar shows workshops currently being planned.
